Matthew Milliken, LMSW

Matt studied at Hope College receiving degrees in chemistry and jazz performance and then shifted career tracks graduating with a Master of Social Work from the University of Michigan. He initially provided behavioral health care services in various health systems in the Metro Detroit area and then transitioned to clinical mental health services working at Washtenaw County Community Mental Health.

Matt has advanced training in integrated health care, as well as clinical training in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Eye-Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), and Sensorimotor Psychotherapy (Level 2). He also employs mindfulness-based interventions and other adjunct therapy modalities to enhance therapeutic progress.
